EU-FRANK closed April with an exchange within the framework of the exchange programme on Selection Missions
On 29th of April, 22 participants from 9 different EU+ states and EASO met online to exchange experiences on ways to approach integration aspects in the resettlement selection process. The aim of the workshop was for the participants to learn more about different approaches to the integration aspects in the selection process with a focus on the Swiss approach.
Participants learned about the Swiss resettlement program and how integration became a bigger part of their selection process. They also received concrete examples of questions in relation to integration and the reasoning behind them and other practical considerations. Apart from the presentation from Switzerland several of the participants shared information on their national approach to the integration aspect in the selection process which brought up both similarities and opposites. Many interesting questions and considerations were brought forward during the workshop and the participants were very satisfied with having had the opportunity to get such operational and concrete examples on integration aspects. This type of experience exchange opportunity worked very well online and was very appreciated by the participants even though several were missing the face to face contact and possibilites to discuss the issues further.
The next opportunity in the EU-FRANK Virtual Workshop Series for the Selection Mission Experience Exchange Program is on the 13th of May from 10am to 13 pm when EU-FRANK in cooperation with EASO is organizing a workshop on remote interviewing. We hope to see you then!
