Busy August in EU-FRANK

We take the summer mood out to the field with a study visit and two expert exchanges this month

EU-FRANK projekt is starting the second half of the year at full speed. We have currently a group of 14 people from 10 different countries in Amman to observe Germany's selection mission in the field. Participants will have the opportunity to gain insight on the selection criteria and case discussions, as well as get an introduction to Germany's Private Sponsorship Programme and a close look to IOM's and UNHCR's work in Amman. More on this next week, when delegation leader Tim Sparla is back from the visit.

A second gathering is happening in Istanbul on 26-27 August. It is a follow-up in the field of the exchange that took place in the Hague in April. This time, practitioners will have the chance to complement their theoretical knowledge with the practical perspective. Stay tuned to read about it later on!

Our last activity, closing off the month, will be held in Brussels on 28-29 August, bringing together representatives from Romania, Netherlands, Portugal and Sweden and hosted by Fedasil. The aim of this meeting is to facilitate the exchange on practices of measures to link the pre-departure and post-arrival phases in the resettlement process.
